Yellofox is narrative, layered, and full of energy, resonating with echoes of folk, rock, country, and indie-pop. Indie Americana with an unmistakable flair from the seventies. Obscure organs, guitars, mandolin, double bass, strings, and drums contribute to the unique Yellofox sound. However, it's the harmonious melodies that bring the atmosphere of 1970s America to life—sometimes intimate and melancholic, other times energetic and captivating.
Marc and Jorieke, the creative heart of Yellofox, share the same passion for storytelling, both in music and in the collaborative multidisciplinary productions they create with Yellofox, where illustration, video, design, and music are seamlessly intertwined. The subjects often revolve around everyday emotions and desires that are relatable and appealing to many people.
'Tomorrow will be gone, but this is today' is the distinctive title of their debut album from 2020. And if we reveal that their brand-new album (2023) is titled 'For the Dreamers,' you'll understand the essence they're made of. Yellofox is more than music. Yellofox is an homage to the melancholic dreamers, the naive idealists, and the energetic life enthusiasts.
