Their songs, their story and their dreams
Irresistible indiefolk that sounds like a road trip with a trunk full of dreams and ideals.

Yellofox is an indie folk band from The Hague, built around the unmistakable chemistry between Marc Mosmans and Jorieke de Vet. Their songs are melodic and layered, steeped in melancholy, comfort and hope, and carry that wonderful west coast vibe you know from the seventies, but wrapped in modern, rich productions. The music and lyrics of Yellofox are more relevant than ever in today's zeitgeist, combining the intimacy of contemporary folk like Watchhouse, Gregory Alan Isakov and Ocie Elliott, with more indie influences such as Wilco and Beck. Yet beneath this contemporary sound you can always hear the influence of the great songwriters of the seventies like Paul Simon, Jackson Browne and James Taylor, to name but a few.
The rich melodies and the distinctive vocal harmonies of Marc and Jorieke form the heart of the sound. Around that, the band builds a remarkable lineup of cello, violin, double bass, drums and guitar. The press described their previous album For the Dreamers as "an ode to melancholic dreamers, naive idealists and lovers of life", songs about happiness, doubt, longing and ambition.
Live, everything comes together. Yellofox plays with storytelling, groove and full energy, winning over a room effortlessly with humor, warmth and a healthy dose of seventies rock 'n roll attitude. Alongside stages, theaters and festivals across the Netherlands, the band has toured the US twice and performed in Ireland, Germany, France and Belgium.
They are currently working with producer Martijn Groeneveld (Blaudzun, Tangarine) on their third album, The Secret of Being Kind, with the first singles due in mid-2026. The album builds on the familiar Yellofox sound but goes further than ever, joined by guest musicians including pianist Paul Bond (a renowned name in the Americana scene), marimba player Murk Jiskoot of the Residentie Orkest and pedal steel specialist and luthier Peter de Smet.

Press:
